Hi. I’m Emma. I’m a creative florist who lives in Bridge of Allan with my family. I create natural, loose and beautiful botanical designs to bring your vision to life.
After studying business in Glasgow I worked in marketing communications for 15 years. I loved it but wanted to do something more creative and that allows me to balance a career I love and my young family.
Working in a flower shop was my first job when I was 17 so I knew I loved it. But It was when my grandma passed away that I took the leap to formally retrain. She was a massive part of my childhood and loved gardening and flowers, especially roses, and this was a big influence on me.
I went to Pearson's Flower School in Sydney in 2013, where I was living at the time, and completed their professional course in floral design. Since then I feel very lucky to have worked with some of Scotland's best florists to hone my skills in retail floristry, wedding flowers and creating large installations.
I know it sounds a bit cheesy but I treat each event as if is my own; making sure that every bloom is as perfect as it can be; bringing real attention to detail to your special day. I’ll work with you throughout the design process and take inspiration from the patterns and rhythm of nature and the seasons.
I also work as sustainably as I can, sourcing locally grown blooms when in season and minimise my use of plastics and floral foam.
As any florist will tell you it’s hard work! It’s physical and definitely requires passion for what what you do but I love it. Working out the mechanics, logistics, selecting the right combination of flowers, colours and textures is just the start and what a buzz when weeks’ of planning and hard work come together. Nothing beats the look on a bride or groom’s face when they see their flowers for the first time.
I you have a wedding or special event to plan I’d love to hear from you to chat all things flowers.
